From Student to First Responder: Meet Our Graduates
– By #School of EMS

Celebrating the commitment, growth, and professionalism of School of EMS students nationwide.
At School of EMS, we believe the path to becoming an EMS professional is built on perseverance, humility, teamwork, and the relentless pursuit of excellence. Our Student and Alumni Spotlight series highlights individuals from across the country who embody these values - students who show up ready to learn, push through challenges, and elevate the people around them.
This month, we’re proud to feature graduates and students from Texas, Florida, Utah, Louisiana, Arkansas, Ohio, and beyond - future first responders who are already making an impact in labs, clinical settings, and their communities.
Excellence Across the Map: Standout Students and Their Stories
Texas Paramedic Students: Commitment in Action
From our Texas cohorts, students like Emma Gerrald (SOE Texarkana) demonstrate what it means to combine curiosity with professional growth. Emma’s instructors noted her “willingness and desire to learn,” a quality that sets the foundation for strong paramedic leadership and compassionate care.
Her dedication reflects the heart of our Texas paramedic training where students go beyond mastering skillsets to embody the professionalism and readiness expected in high‑pressure environments.

Florida EMT Students: Early Excellence and Determination
In our Tampa Bay cohort, Ciara Daly made an immediate impression during her first lab day, showing accuracy, confidence, and a readiness to step into her role as an EMT in Florida. Instructors highlighted her ability to answer every question correctly, showing that the foundation for strong clinical judgment is already forming.
Utah EMS Students: Leadership through Coachability
Utah’s EMS community will soon gain an exceptional provider in Remington Wilson (SOE Provo). Completing Live Week 2 with standout clinical understanding, Remington was praised for applying feedback instantly showing real‑time performance growth that marks a future leader in Utah EMS.
His presence in the classroom uplifted the cohort, reflecting the teamwork and professionalism we champion at SOE.

Louisiana & Arkansas Paramedic/EMT Progress: Positivity Under Pressure
In the South‑Central region, students in our Louisiana and Arkansas program networks continue to show growth and grit. Edy Perez Lopez (SOE Chickasha) was recognized for his upbeat attitude, humor, and willingness to learn – all qualities that create stronger, more cohesive EMS teams.
These attributes are especially vital for students pursuing Louisiana paramedic programs or training through our Arkansas EMT school pathways, where adaptability and resilience are key to field success.
Ohio EMT Training: Improvement that Inspires
In our Ohio‑affiliated programs, continuous improvement is a hallmark of future success.
Hunter Giannetti (SOE SB Fire) was voted “Most Improved” by his peers - an honor that reflects his friendly engagement and consistent effort to enhance his skills.
This student‑driven recognition captures the spirit of our Ohio EMT training culture: supportive, collaborative, and focused on elevating one another.

Where Growth Meets Purpose
Across every campus, lab, and clinical location, our students show us what it means to step confidently into the EMS profession. The traits highlighted in this spotlight - coachability, engagement, teamwork, steady performance, and a sincere desire to grow - mirror the values that School of EMS fosters nationwide.
Whether they’re training as EMTs, Advanced EMTs, or Paramedics, these individuals represent the future of emergency medicine. And the future is bright.
