Student Spotlight

This student was always engaged and asked good questions. This student was also very respectful throughout the week!

I had to choose a name, but honestly, it was the whole class. I tried all week to find a student who stood out. They worked together as a united team. They were so competitive but also incredibly supportive of each other. They had fun and stayed on task. They work through every scenario with hands-on skills and engagement. It was an amazing week!

Mr. Webb was intimidated by starting IV’s. He was able to overcome his fears/difficulties through performing several practice runs on a dummy. Mr. Webb stayed attentive and engaged all week, asking frequent questions when clarity was needed.

He came into the class as someone to watch and by day 12 he was much more improved and confident in himself.

He struggled with a few of his assessments, but kept an up-beat and positive attitude. He didn't give up and succeeded in the end!

Michael was well versed in the skills that we were teaching. Ready to jump in and be the first to attempt the skills. He was very good at the skills. Always ready to help fellow students that needed help as well. He is a 68W combat medic which helped his progress along.

Remington was always on task. He was focused on learning from the assessments and it showed in his day 12 test!

This student toughed out being sick during day 2 and came out on day 4 shining with most improvement!!!

Lauren has such a great attitude. She asks really good questions. She is always smiling and brings such a great joy into the room. She is very meticulous and wants to fully understand whatever we are talking about or skill they are learning. She is going to be such a great paramedic!

Adam was very polite to everyone and was willing to help whenever asked. He had exceptional critical thinking skills, confidence and consistently demonstrated strong clinical performance during lab week. He has a solid foundational knowledge for appropriate treatments and interventions that needed to be done. He communicated clearly with team members, took direction well, and remained engaged throughout lab sessions and showed a genuine commitment to improving his performance. His agency can be proud of all his hard work he has shown in his school performance. He made us proud.

Bryan was very methodical with his assessments. Quiet but well liked and stood out when he was in charge of the scenario. New his math, protocols and skills.

Student showed improvement during day of IV sticks overcoming his fear of needles and riding to the level of confidence to perform the skill.

LaMarcus has an infectious attitude. He is always so positive and uplifting, and always has a smile on. He was accountable for his actions when performance slipped a bit and was eager to improve, and eager to lift up his fellow classmates.

This week, we are proud to recognize McAyla Clarke, a paramedic student who demonstrated exceptional professionalism, resilience, and commitment to growth throughout her Lab Week 2 experience. From the very first day, she consistently put forward her best effort, actively engaged in every learning opportunity, and approached each challenge with a positive, solution-focused attitude. Not only did she receive feedback with maturity and openness but also sought out additional guidance to refine her skills. More importantly, she consistently implemented that feedback—often immediately—and the result was tremendous, measurable growth across all skill domains throughout the week. Despite facing both professional and personal challenges during the week, McAyla maintained an impressive level of focus, accountability, and determination. Her work ethic, attitude, and perseverance set a strong example for her peers and reflects the qualities we value in future paramedics. McAyla’s performance this week embodies what it means to be coachable, resilient, and committed to the profession. We are proud to highlight McAyla’s achievements and look forward to seeing her continued growth and success.

William had an amazing personality, that allowed him to interact with everybody flawlessly. He has a desire to learn, interact, and and better his skill. William was quick to jump in, took initiative for a lot of assignments and tasks, and was able to stay personable through the entire week. All of this while in a walking boat.
